Basketball on the beach in Ft. Lauderale, Florida

A group of kids play some half-court basketball on the beach as the sun rises in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  After a full day of clouds and rain the day before, I was up bright and early and hoping for some sunshine. I was starting to worry, since the morning started out cloudy again, but as soon as I arrived at the beach, the clouds began to break. I almost wrecked my car when I saw the sun poking through the clouds as these guys played basketball. I jumped out of my car and shot a few frames before another set of clouds moved in. This particular morning provided the best light during my whole trip. This photo was part of a Livability.com photo shoot in South Florida.
